Old Slave Cemetery, est. 1841

The Old Slave Cemetery was established about the same time as the main cemetery at College Hill Presbyterian Church. Because most of the graves do not have markers, it is impossible to determine exactly how many graves are located here. There appears to be quite a few, however, because of the sunken areas and stones found throughout the area. Sometime in the past, wooden crosses were placed at apparent graves although now several of these crosses are down or strewn.

The church has placed a sign behind the main cemetery as well as some concrete stepping pads that lead into the edge of the woods where the graves are located.
